Hello, I’m Ashlyn vanBuren, the photographer behind Ashlyn Underwater. Growing up in South Florida, I was constantly surrounded by the rich biodiversity of the region, with the ocean serving as my biggest source of inspiration. After earning my degree in Environmental Sustainability, I moved to Hawaii to explore a new ocean and dive deeper into the wonders of marine life. Since then, I’ve made it my mission to travel the world—capturing the beauty of nature while learning about the many ways we can protect it.

I now live and work in the Florida Keys, where I’m lucky to spend my days as both a scuba diving instructor and a photographer. With the third-largest barrier reef in the world as my office, I get to witness the ocean’s incredible diversity up close—whether it’s capturing vibrant coral, graceful turtles, or the majestic presence of sharks. Every dive reminds me how awe-inspiring the ocean is, but also how fragile it is in the face of climate change. It’s a constant motivation to keep pushing for greater awareness and action to protect these vital ecosystems.

Through my photography, I hope to inspire others to connect with the natural world in a meaningful way and to foster a sense of responsibility for its preservation. As I continue documenting the stunning and fragile beauty of our oceans and landscapes, I also aim to highlight the individuals and organisations working tirelessly to raise awareness to protect our planet.

I decided to try the Repair & Protect Hair Care Duo from My Green Routine and I’m so glad I did.

First of all, it’s made with natural oils, which I love because I’m trying to avoid harsh stuff on my hair. After just a few washes, I could actually feel the difference—my hair feels way softer, looks healthier, and most importantly, I noticed way less hair fall.

It also smells really nice and it’s eco-friendly, so I feel like I’m doing something good for the planet too.

After seeing an advert for this on social media I was intrigued as I am passionate about using more sustainable products so I placed an order. My order arrived last week and I am thrilled with the quality of the products, the body wash bars and shampoo bar smell absolutely amazing and as for the toothpaste tablets they really do a good job. Overall I am happy with what I received and I highly recommend people give this a try you won't be disappointed.

The shampoo and conditioner are probably the best products I have ever tried, makes my hair feel really soft and healthy after using them!

Love how compact this is. Everything is labelled so no problem if flying abroad. No plastic, cares about environment. All items naturally based, no nasties, very good if you suffer from allergies.

I was surprised how good the toothbrush is and a spare too. The whole kit is ideal for travelling with hand luggage and there`s room enough to customize the kit for long haul trips.
